The family Ichneumonidae (Insecta: Hymenoptera) with more than 25000 known species is the most speciose family in the order Hymenoptera and the class Insecta. The most parasitoid wasps of this family are diurnal and active during daylight but some species (especially most species of the subfamily Ophioninae and species of the genus Netelia of the subfamily Tryphoninae) are night-flying. Light trapping is an effective method for studying the night-flying wasps of this family. The aims of this study were to collect and identify the night-flying ichneumons in agroecosystems and also to provide ecological data on their flight period and distribution in Darab county of Fars province during 2014. Sampling was done using two Light Pan traps which were installed with an interval of one night in each week during spring season. Pans of light traps filled with a mixture of water and some drops of detergent as killing and collecting agent. Traps were set in an alfalfa field and a citrus orchard at sunset and were then emptied before sunrise. Totally, 68 individuals belonging to nine subfamilies were collected and eighteen species have been yet identified as following. Based on the literature, one species is new report for the Iranian fauna which is marked with an asterisk (*).
