Eurytoma Illiger as most specious genus of the family Eurytomidae (Hym.: Chalcidoidea) includes 704 species in the World that only 41 species (5.8%) of this genus has been reported from Iran. Recently we obtained a pair of Eurytoma within collected materials by Malaise trap in Piranshar, West-Azarbaijan province. It belongs to nodularis group that some authors use robusta group for them and it includes 46 species. Only 12 species of this group has been previously reported from Iran. Species of these group shares following morphological characters: mesosternal carina present; eyes edged or carinate anteriolrly; posterogenal carina high, sharp; marginal vein rather short, equal to, or slightly longer than radial vein; female metasoma in many species with long petiole; segments of antennal funicle of male having two convex apices and covered with long pubescence. In addition, fore coxa of many species of this group is widened in both sexes and bears a more or less high prominence at the anterior margin. Our examined species was identified under Eurytoma turkomanica Zerova, 1995. This species was reported from Turkmenistan. This species is larva parasitoid of Sphenoptera sp. and Anthaxia spinosa Abeille de Perrin (Col.: Buprestidae) in stems of treelike species of Astragalus, subgenus Tragacantha. However, the main character of E. turkomanica are: Eyes with distinctly well developed fronto-orbital carina; all funicular segments longer than wide in female, male antennal funiculs distinctly elongate with long hairs, petiolate in each side and constricted medially; metasomal petiole of female longer than wide, metasoma of female less strongly compressed, nearly 1.5 times as long as mesosoma (lateral view); venation shortened, postmarginal vein much longer than marginal vein (more than 1.5 times) and longer than stigma vein (about 1.2 times); tergite VII elongate, 1.3–1.5 times as long as VI.
